The heat and humidity of the past week made a trip to DeHart to take a swim a welcome idea.
The pool is open Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 1 to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Pool admission prices are $7 for anyone age seven and up, $5 for age six and under and age 55 and older, and those under age three are admitted free.
Swimming lessons are currently going on, but a second round of lessons will begin July 18-28 with morning and evening sessions.
Morning lessons for swimmers age six and up are from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Five and under lessons are held from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.
Evening classes are from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for age five and under and 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. for ages six and up.
A parent/tot class will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for parents and children age two and under the same week.
The ever-popular water aerobics classes continue throughout the summer with morning sessions Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. Evening sessions are Monday-Tuesday-Thursday from 7:15 to 8 p.m. The cost is $4 per session.
