The Patrick County Music Association will host its monthly Jamboree on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Rotary building in Stuart starting with an on-stage jam session from 5-6 p.m. Food is available from the 4-H Shooting Education Team.
At 6 p.m., Mickey Galyean & Cullen’s Bridge take the stage. Gaylean & Cullen’s Bridge play “good old traditional bluegrass,” according to the group’s website. “We try to keep what people have come to know as The Galax Sound alive.”
At 7 p.m., members of the Shelor Family go on. The original Shelor Family, featured in the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions recording project, helped shape country and bluegrass music. On stage at PCMA will be several descendents of original group members Jesse and Clarice Shelor.
