The Patrick County Tourism Advisory Council has voted to assist each
district in Patrick County by offering a Tourism Incentive Reimbursement Matching Grant Program during the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
The matching grant program is designed to stimulate visitor spending and increase overnight stays in Patrick County.
The maximum award is $8,000 per district, to be awarded to one or more projects. It will be a one-to-one match.
Each project must be related to tourism. Eligible projects may receive reimbursement for print, radio, website, and television advertising, as well as for brochures and special event planning.
Print, radio, web, and television advertisements must promote Patrick County to visitors, and must incorporate aspects of the “Experience the Simple Life” campaign.
Advertisements must also include the Patrick County tourism website visitpatrickcounty.org.
For more information about the grant, call Tom Rose or Denise Stirewalt at (276) 694-6094.
The grant application is available under the Tourism section of the Patrick County website, co.patrick.va.us, or by contacting Tom or Denise at the Patrick County Administration Office, 106 Rucker Street, Stuart.
