Victor Owen Hairston, 61, of Golf Course Road, Spencer, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.
He was born in Martinsville on December 1, 1955 and was a son of Colonel and Nancy Reid Hairston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnetta Harris Hairston.
He was disabled after working at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County where he was employed as a bio-med technician and was a member and deacon of Ridgeway Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are his parents, Elder Colonel and Nancy Reid Hairston of the home; two daughters, Shane A. Hairston of Alexandria, and Dani M. Hairston of Spencer; one sister, Yvonne Hairston of Spencer one brother, Danny Hairston of Westerville, Oh.; one grandson and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Monday at Red Hollow Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Manuel Jessup and Carl Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Colonel and Nancy Hairston Family Cemetery in Spencer.
