Woolwine Elementary School held its annual Title 1 Family Math Night on Dec. 5, along with their PTO meeting and vendor event. About 90 students, parents, and staff members attended this event where students played different types of Bingo, depending on grade level.
The night began with a PTO meeting followed by a performance from the band and choir students. The meeting was ended with a visit from Mr. Claus himself, and students were able to deliver their Christmas wish lists.
After visiting with Santa, families were served a dinner consisting of ham and turkey sliders, spaghetti pasta, chips, cookies, and hot chocolate. Following dinner, students separated into groups that were based on grade level.
A staff member led each group in at least three rounds of Bingo. All students that attended received a prize of their choice, math flashcards (based on skill level), a deck of playing cards and instructions on how to play different education games using cards, points to the Warrior Way Store, and other treats! The staff at Woolwine would like to thank all those families that attended and extend a welcome to all families to our future Title 1 events.
