Affordable, confidential water testing and education will be offered through the Virginia Cooperative Extension office in Patrick County.
Kits are available to pick up on April 15 at 6 p.m. at Patrick Henry Community College, Stuart Site, Community Room, 212 Wood Brothers Dr, Stuart.
Samples should be dropped off on April 17 from 7:30 to 8 a.m. at the Patrick County USDA Service Center, 135 Stonewall Court, Stuart, (located behind BB&T bank.)
Participation is voluntary and confidential. Water samples collected by participating homeowners will be analyzed for 14 parameters including bacteria, metals, nitrate and hardness for a $55 fee.
Results and water system care and maintenance information will be shared at an information meeting.
