Woolwine Elementary celebrated the 50th day of school on Thursday, October 20. Pre-kindergarten through third grade students celebrated with a 1950s Sock Hop in the gym. Music was played from the era for dancing. Classic toys were featured including hula hoops and jump ropes. Students also got to make a record and jewelry as “take-aways” from the event. School officials extend a special thank you to parent volunteers, the Alzheimer’s Association for letting them borrow props, and Mr. Turner for photo opportunities with classic vehicles. All had a great time celebrating the 50th day.
