Residents of the Landmark Center were treated to a program, “Whoo gives a Hoot about Owls,” led by Master Gardeners Jessica Hines and Norma Bozenmayer. Residents listened to owl calls, discussed types of owls, owl behavior and shared owl stories. All participants made a little snowy owl out of a pinecone. Did you know that barn owls, barred owls, great horned owls, spotted owls, and eastern screech owls are known to mate for life?
