The annual Bluegrass and Old Time Music Competition held July 4 in Vesta, included musical competitions in several categories, among them Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Bands, Vocals, and Flat footing.
The three levels of competition were children, teen, and adult, with prizes of Individual 1st, $15; 2nd, $10; 3rd, $5. Bands, 1st, $50; 2nd, $30, and 3rd, $20.
