The first spring demolition derby was held at Rotary in Stuart on Saturday, May 12.
The event started with racers aged three to five. Participating youngsters drove power wheel cars and trucks with a balloon on the front and one on the back.
Harper Neice came in first place, Conner Scott came in second place, and Chloe Greidanis came in third.
In the 6 to 9 years old group, Stormy Greidanis took first place, Michael Pace came in second, and Roman Glenn was third.
Hundreds filled the stands to watch as the adult derby got underway.
In the feature, Jamie Stokes of Stuart, came in first place; Alan Hamm of Stuart, came in second place; and Tommy DeHart of Stuart, won third place.
In the 6 cylinder competition: Matt Studley of Madison, N.C., was first; George Belcher of Stuart, was second; and Chad McDowell of Stuart, was third.
The compact heat contest was won by Matt Studley of Madison, N.C., in first place; Jansen Morrison, of Stuart, in second; and Bailey Holt of Stuart, in third.
Heat one winners were Alan Hamm, Brad Holt, and Jansen Morrison, all of Stuart.
Heat two winners were Tommy DeHart, J.W. Belcher, and Jamie Stokes, all of Stuart.
Heat three winners were Braedon Morrison of Woolwine; Sean Harbour of Bassett; and Matt Studley of Madison, N.C.
Heat four winners were Daniel Leviner and Bailey Holt, both of Stuart.
