The Patrick County Library concluded the 2021 summer reading program, “Tails & Tales,” with a grand finale on July 27.
The highlight of the day was Llama Laura Steere and her menagerie of small animals from Infinity Acres Ranch of Ridgeway, Virginia. Together, they enlightened and entertained the rapt audience of young and young at heart.
The library staff thanks all who participated in this year’s program.
The top winners this year are:
- Levi Montgomery won the prize for the top school-age reader with a whopping 10,300 points. He received a family membership to the Virginia Natural History Museum and a KidzLabs Hydraulic Robotic Arm kit.
- Kameryn Alexander was the winner of a Kindle Fire 8 HD in the school-age random drawing.
- Ellianna Montgomery topped the teen readers with 16,564 points.
- Willow Kelley was the winner of an iPad in the teen random drawing.
- Alexandra Allison placed first in the adult category with 11,829 points.
