Hannah Elizabeth Wood of Walnut Cove, N.C., and James William Kendrick III of Martinsville were married on June 17 at Moore’s Springs Manor in Westfield, N.C., by minister Steve Hayes.
The bride is the daughter of Randy Wood of Walnut Cove and Crystal Veal of Vienna. She is the granddaughter of David and Betty Wood of Lawsonville, N.C., and the late Bob and Janice Beamer. The bridegroom is the son of Jimmy and Karen Kendrick of Martinsville. He is the grandson of Junior and Ramona Cassady of Spencer, Shirley Wallahan of Sarasota, Fla., and the late J.W. and Lillie Kendrick. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an off-the-shoulder A-line lace gown. She carried a bouquet of white roses with eucalyptus. Ashley Jones of Pilot Mountain, N.C., sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a sage color gown.Cassady Burton of Austin, Tex., sister of the bridegroom; Abby Harris of King, N.C.; Alex Myers of Cleveland, N.C.; Elena Legan of Hinsdale, Ill.; Jessica Barker of Pilot Mountain, Kayla Boley of Salisbury, N.C., and Sarah Grindstaff of Walnut Cove were the bridesmaids. Jordan Moore of Charlotte, N.C., stepsister of the bride, was an honorary bridesmaid. They wore sage color gowns. Brinlee Mills, daughter of Steven and Ashley Mills, cousin of the bridegroom, and Evelyn Linton-Hayes of Patrick Springs were the flower girls.The father of the bridegroom served as the best man. Heath Burton of Austin, Tex., brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Marcus Warner of Tully, Nev.; Andy Perry and Nathan Perry of Spencer, cousins of the bridegroom; Daulton Weagley of Chambersburg, Pa.; Wes Smallwood of Louisa, Dylan Nelson of Roanoke, and Jordan Adams of Cincinnati, Oh., were the groomsmen.
Patrick Thompson of Roanoke and RaShawn Hairston of Richmond were the ushers. Harrison Jones, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. The reception was held at Moore’s Springs Manor in Westfield.The couple took a honeymoon trip to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.They reside in Hillsborough, NC.The bride is a 2017 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is an RN, BSN at UNC Health Care. The bridegroom is a 2016 graduate of Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, W.Va. He is pursuing a master’s of divinity degree from Regent University.Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: in April, a wedding shower at Stella Christian Church was hosted by Marla Perry, Teresa Nelson, and Ramona Cassady. In May, a bridal shower at Graylyn Estate was hosted by Crystal Veal and Ashley Jones.
