The LORD spoke to me in my inner man and said two words, “Words matter.”
It is written in Genesis 1 that God, by His creative power, created this world by SPEAKING IT INTO EXISTANCE.
John 1: 1,2 declares, In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God. The same (the WORD) was in the beginning with God. (v 14): and the WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Beheld means that we have seen and touched His glory! Colossians 1:27b declares, Christ IN you (His born-again followers), is the hope of glory.
Jesus was the WORD. He agreed with Father God to be conceived by Holy Spirit in the womb of a virgin, to be birthed into the earth to be the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. He submitted Himself to Father God and became obedient unto death, even death on the cross, taking upon Himself every sin that was ever committed, that ALL who would believe and receive Him, could have the curse reversed that came upon all mankind when Adam disobeyed God. (Gal.3: 13; Philippians 2:6-11)
It is written in Acts 4: 12, “Neither is there salvation (freedom from the curse) in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”
Romans 5:8, But God commended His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 3:23, “for ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Acts 2:21, “and it shall come to pass that WHOSOEVER shall CALL on the name of the LORD (Jesus Christ) shall be saved.”
Deut. 30: 19, God said, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, CHOOSE life, that both you and your seed shall live.’
Prov. 18:21a, “Death and life ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE.” Words matter.
Matt 12:37, Jesus said, “By your WORDS, you shall be justified, and by your words, you shall be condemned.”
Speak words that produce a GOOD harvest! Words matter.
