The Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary met on December 5 at the fire station at 6:30 p.m. and later held a joint meeting with fire department members.
President Doris Craig called the meeting to order. After the prayer requests were taken, Chaplain Becky Foley led the group in prayer. Secretary Jean Thomas gave the roll call with seven members present and read the minutes of the last meeting. Treasurer Emma Adams read the treasurer’s report.
The auxiliary thanks everyone whom helped make the hamburger steak dinner with door prize raffle and cash giveaway on Saturday, November 21 a success. The entire department wants to thank everyone that purchased and sold tickets, donated door prizes, purchased meals, and helped with advertising this event.
Also, the visit with Santa on Friday, December 9 was great. The auxiliary thanks everyone whom helped make this free community event a fun time for children and adults.
The ladies’ auxiliary and fire department members enjoyed refreshments that were served by auxiliary members. Afterwards, both groups met to plan next year’s fund-raising schedule.
