The butterflies are really enjoying my azaleas all day long. I have a lot of azaleas that are bright red, white, pink and lavender, and am hoping that lots of hummingbirds come. A few have come already.

The cross on the bank at Providence Methodist Church is pretty lit up at night. Drive by!

It’s wonderful news that Arlene Trent came to Blue Ridge Therapy and is closer to home. Still keep her in prayers. Also, add our friend Mae Mabe to your prayer list. She is doing better.

Lots of churches will have Easter services all over Patrick County and they are so beautiful. Miss Claudine Wood and I were talking about when Mountain View went way up the hill in John Conner’s field for sunrise. When we got to the top we were high up and looking down on Woolwine.

On Wednesday, my sister-in-law Hilda Nittler and I went to Mountain View Cemetery on the mountain and to Conner’s View and put out our spring flowers. It was a great day with wonderful weather.

We visited Miss Claudine Wood and she was surprised to see us. Hilda treated me to lunch, then we went to two more cemeteries. By that time, we were ready for a break.

It surely was nice to hear from Brenda Belcher the other day. Love to you and Bernice.

Danny Reynolds is getting in a bit of fishing these days. He loves to fish at lots of places.

It was so good to hear from Frances Smart. I used to see her a lot. She gave me her and her mother’s version of Black Forest Cake. I’ll have the recipe next week and it sounds delicious, and perfect for hot summer days—but good anytime.
