The Surry County Genealogical Association will sponsor an Ancestor Fair on January 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mount Airy Regional Museum of History on Main St., Mount Airy, N.C.

This swap meet is free and open to the public. Those attending are asked to bring genealogy and family history, old pictures, scrapbooks and family group sheets. Someone will be available to help participants look up their family on Ancestry.com or Familysearch.

Authors who would like to sell their books are invited to come and set up for no charge.

The Surry County Genealogical Association meets the second Monday night of each month at 7 p.m. at the Surry Community College teaching auditorium in Dobson, N.C., unless stated differently on the calendar. For more information call Esther
