The Patrick County High School Track and Field team traveled to Radford High School last weekend. Performing well, the team used this meet as a large step forward, excited to see all the hard work pay off.

In a competitive sprint medley relay, the team finished in second with a time of 4:00.
“What I was most proud of was how many new personal records were set on both sides. Consistency and mental toughness were definitely keys to their success,” Coach Lynne Deckel stated. “Everyone was able to stay competitive even when they weren’t necessarily around any competition. This was especially true in both the sprint medley relays, where both genders were able to win their heat and run a fast enough time to beat teams in the second heat. Everyone’s tenacity and drive is relentless and it’s exciting to see so many great results because of it.”
