Twenty-eight artists, artisans and crafters from Patrick, Henry, Surry and Stokes counties will be on display at the Reynolds Homestead during the 4th annual Holiday Craft Fair.
Those who like to shop local and get a head start on the holiday rush can find a variety of fine art, handmade crafts, knitted and crocheted items, woodworking and much more at the event on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Shoppers can select among hundreds of handmade items including pot holders, frame-able photography, fine art, baked goods, ornaments, crocheted and knitted items, handcrafted soaps and lotions, and much more to assist in getting their Christmas shopping done early.
“We love to support local artists and artisans, and encourage people to shop local and keep their money working in our community,” said senior program manager Lisa Martin.
Brunswick stew and Italian Vegetable soup will be available for purchase for $5 per bowl, including crackers or cornbread. Take out quarts of the soups will also be sold for $8 each.
Entry into the event is through the downstairs, and shoppers will make their way upstairs and into the main hall.
“We have many vendors from last year back, as well as new ones this year,” said Becki Turner, Homestead volunteer and co-coordinator of the fair. “Everyone should try to come early to get the best selection of goods.”
There is no charge to attend the event.
