Dr. Michael Leon Jones, age 65, of Stuart, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart.
He was born in Martinsville on December 9, 1950, and was preceded in death by his father, B.F. Jones Jr.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and had been a dentist for over 40 years.
Dr. Jones is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marcia Wood Jones of the home; one son, Christopher M. Jones of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Erin J. and Lewis Carroll of Patrick Springs; his mother, Lucille Williams Jones of Martinsville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bennie M. and Judy Jones of Danville, Eddie W. and Renea Jones of Midlothian and Kevin A. and Tonya Jones of Oak Ridge, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends tonight (Wednesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
