As April Showers bring May Flowers, the chamber has been busy watering and laying the groundwork for some great programs and events coming up.
April was a flurry of activity with the Business Showcase. Once again, we had a great turnout of businesses and organizations.
The following week, the chamber hosted ‘Waffle Wednesday,’ a business before work event. Several business leaders attended and networked while enjoying waffles, bacon, chicken and coffee by Henry’s Fresh Roast Coffee. Another Waffle Wednesday will be scheduled for this fall.
The office is getting busy with the Reynolds Homestead College for Older Adult classes that are starting back, and several other programs. Our work is picking up with everyone emailing events for inclusion in the community calendar and the weekly emails.

The Stuart Farmers’ Market opened this past weekend and the Master Gardener Plant sale was held on Saturday, a true mark of Spring.
We have several ‘Lunch and Learns’ coming up over the next few months. The first one is on May 22: How Google Drive Can Help your Business and/or Organization. We also will host livestream programs from Grow with Google, July 7: Small Business Summer School, and October 16: Holiday Livestream.
We are also co-hosting a seminar “Facebook Deep Dive” on June 4 with the Small Business Development Center. This seminar will explore your Facebook page and learn to analyze current audience for sales on and off Facebook, learn from past successes, and targeted Facebook advertising tools.
