The Patrick County Middle School baseball team ended its season with a win last Wednesday over George Washington of Danville.
Fulcher Bryson threw a no-hitter, striking out 14 batters on the way to a 4-0 win.
The Cougars scored all four runs in the fourth inning on four hits.
Kase Leftwitch, McCray Sawyers, Adian Lacy and Carson Merriman each had a hit in the game.
“We played well in our last game of the season,” said Coach Dale Underfelt. “I was proud of how we improved throughout the year.”
The day before, the MS Cougars lost a close game to Fieldale-Collinsville Middle 4-3.
Lane Taylor took the loss on the mound, striking out 13 batters and allowing only four hits.
McCray Sawyers and Bryson Fulcher had two hits each. Scoring for the Cougars were Sawyers, Lincoln Rose and Carson Merriman.
The MS Cougars ended the season with a 5-7 record.
