PCHS Volleyball wins two, loses one

The Patrick County Varsity Volleyball team hosted Bassett on September 9. The Lady Cougars won in straight sets with scores 11-25, 23-25, and 13-25. The team had 34 kills, 33 assists, three blocks, 31 digs and 16 aces. The player of the game was Lauren Largen. The Cougars travelled to Tunstall on September 10, losing in 3 sets. The scores were 13-26, 16-25, and 21-25. The team had 15 kills, 14 assists, 7 aces and 19 digs combined. Patrick County had another win when they hosted Halifax on September 11.The Cougars won in three sets 25-19, 25-18, and 25-15.  We had 32 kills, 32 digs, 30 assists, nine aces and eight blocks. The player of the game was Caroline Vernon. The varsity team is now 3-5 overall and 2-1 in the district.

The JV team Won in three sets against Bassett with scores of 20-25, 25-22, and 16-14.

The team earned 21 kills, 20 assists, 25 digs, and 7 aces for match. On September 10 the JV teamlost in two sets against Tunstall 25-12 and 25-22.The team earned 22 digs, 8 kills, 8 aces, and 5 assists for the entire match. In the match against Halifax, the Lady Cougars won in 2 sets,winning 25-15 and 25-22. The team gained a total of 14 kills, 14 assists, 10 aces, and 11 digs for the entire match.
