JV Cougar baseball ends season with win

The Patrick County High School junior varsity baseball team ended its season with a win at home last Monday against Magna Vista. The final score was 8-5. The team finished the season with an 8-9 record.
Landon Augustine, Josh Cockram, Jacob Mullis and McCrae Sawyers each scored two runs in the game.
Josh Cockram started on the mound with Colby Vernon coming in for relief, striking out two batters and claiming the victory.
The JV Cougars had only one hit in the game; however, they walked eight times at bat and the JV Warriors had six errors in the game.
Friday, May 13, the JV Cougars defeated Martinsville 19-0 after three innings.
Josh Cockram led batters with two doubles, three RBIs and four runs scored. Nick Duncan and Bryson Fulcher each had two hits. Landon Augustine, Thatcher Blankenship, McCrae Sawyers, Jacob Mullis and Aiden Lacy each had one hit.
Cockram took the win on the mound for the Cougars.
