Frances Ann Thomas Lightaul, age 64, of Mount Airy, N.C., died on Saturday evening, September 24, 2016, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.
She was born in Patrick County on April 14, 1952 and was a daughter of the late Raymond and Magaline Ayers Thomas. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Thomas; and a sister, Mary Tipton Thomas.
She was a truck driver, and a member of Anchor Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Lightaul of the home; three daughters, Glenda Golding of Springfield, Mo., Angie Hall of the home, and Jammie Hawks of Mount Airy; two sons, Ronnie Hall of Mount Airy and Jimmy Jr. Hall of Mount Airy; stepchildren, Wendy Stevens, Julie Ryan, Amanda Groch, Fred Lightaul Jr., Wayne Lightaul and Thomas Lightaul; 14 grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Jessup and Janice Secrest, both of Mount Airy; and two brothers, Dean Thomas of Mount Airy and Kenny Thomas of Cana.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Anchor Baptist Church in Ararat, N.C., with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Ron Hall and Bro. Kenneth McCan conducted the services.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Mountain Hospice Valley and Palliative Care, and to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the love and care given to their love one.
Arrangements were by Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
