Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) will hold an Introduction to 3D Printing class every Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The class skips the March 22 date, and costs $104 which includes all supplies. Pre-registration can be done by going to ph.augosoft.net or calling (276) 656-5461.
Saturday, March 12
Rotary Field in Stuart will hold a Small Business Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. where crafts, home décor, food and sweets, and more will be available for purchase.
The Francisco Fire Department will hold its annual chicken stew meal with each quart of chicken stew being $8 a quart. The department is only doing pre-orders, and stew will be ready for pick-up from 2-4 p.m. All orders must be submitted by March 4 by midnight. To order, see any fire department member or call the fire department at (336) 351-2696 and leave a message with your name and telephone number and someone will call you back to verify your order. This year the department has partnered with Double Creek Fire Department to support kids in need and their families that attend Nancy Reynolds Elementary at Christmas time. All proceeds will go to support that cause.

The first two classes will take place at the Patrick County site. The last two courses will be held at Walker 135.

Patrick & Henry Community College(P&HCC) will hold a nurse aid training course with lectures on Monday and Wednesday from 12:30-3:30 p.m., labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m., and clinical hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost of the course in $3,495, but the FastFoward price is $1,165. The first Mountain Top Alzheimer’s Support Lunch will be at 12 p.m. at the Vesta Community Center. It will be cancelled if school is called off for bad weather.

The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a distribution day in the morning Stuart from 8:30-11 a.m. and 5-6:30 p.m., in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 17
The Carroll County Genealogy Club will meet at 6 p.m. at the club on Main St. in Hillsville. If Carroll County schools are closed due to inclement weather the meeting will be postponed.
Saturday, March 19
The Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Country Breakfast from 6:30-10 a.m. at the station. Dine in prices are $8 for an adult plate and $4 for a child plate. All take out plates are $8 each. To make a call-in order, call (276) 930-2113.
