Stuart Baptist Church will hold a free meal and gospel sing with the Bassett group Four For One, beginning at 5 p.m. All are invited.
The Ararat Ruritan Club members will host a roadside cleanup day beginning at 10 a.m. All are invited to help. Pizza will be served to all volunteers at the end.
The Meadows of Dan Ruritan Club will hold a Country Breakfast fundraiser from 7-11 a.m. at the Meadows of Dan Community Building. Plates include two eggs, biscuit and gravy, fried apples, bacon or sausage, and a drink. Pre-sale tickets are $9 and tickets at the door are $10. Contact a Ruritan or the group’s Facebook page to purchase tickets in advance. All proceeds support local community events.

The Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group, LLC, will hold Bingo at John D. Hooker Building at Rotary Field in Stuart. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and playing starts at 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 2
The Ararat Ruritan Club will host a barn quilt painting class that will be led by Lisa Martin with The Wormy Chestnut. The class will start at 10 a.m. and pre-registration is required via email by March 30 to lisaorpheus@gmail.com to ensure your template will b designed and ready for painting. The cost is $25 and includes all supplies needed to complete the barn quilt.
The Blue Ridge Elementary School Booster Club will host a Bingo event at the school. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Blue Ridge Boosters Club.

The Patrick County Patriots will hold a Turkey Shoot each Saturday in April at the Smith River Wildlife Club. Practice rounds start at 1:30 p.m. with the event starting at 2 p.m. The rules are factory chokes only and no sleeves or re-chokes. Food will be available for purchase by the Patrick County Patriots.

The Woolwine United Church mobile food unit and the Ross Harbour Children’s Clothing Ministry will be at the Woolwine Fire Department from 3-5 p.m., with free food and clothing.

The Ararat Ruritan Club will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., featuring lots of candy-filled eggs, with a few prize eggs mixed in.

The Mountain View Church of God of Prophecy will host an Easter Celebration beginning at 10 a.m. featuring God Can during the 11 a.m. service. Pastor Tom Warren and the congregation invite all to attend.

The Woolwine United Church mobile food unit and the Ross Harbour Children’s Clothing Ministry will be at Howell’s Furniture from 3-5 p.m., with free food and clothing.
