The JV Softball team traveled to Floyd March 22, getting a 10-3 win over Floyd.
Journey Moore went the distance in the circle, striking out 8, walking 2, and giving up 3 hits. Moore was 2 for 3 with one solo home run and one 3 run homer.
Bryley Pike was 5 for 5 with a triple, two doubles, and 3 RBIs. Kylee Joyce was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, and Hayden Lawless had one hit and an RBI. Kyleigh Gusler, Aniya Penn, Lilly Hazelwood, and Eliza Clifton had hits and scored a run each. The ladies traveled to Bassett, Friday, March 25, getting a big 28-8 win over the Lady Bengals. Hayden Lawless pitched 7 innings, striking out 3, walking 4, and giving up 5 runs. Moore was 3 for 4 with 2 triples with 4 runs scored and 3 RBIs. Penn went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Gusler and Maria Turner had 2 hits each and drove in 2 runs. Pike, Lawless, Joyce, and Hazelwood also added hits for the Lady Cougars.
The JV Cougars are 4-0.
