Jeb Stuart’s Birthplace History in Laurel Hill will hold a Jeb Stuart Commemoration Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be items to sell to benefit the building fund and music, refreshments, raffles, and displays. Information and tours of the Laurel Hill will also be provided.
The Meadows of Dan Women’s Club will hold a BINGO night at the Meadows of Dan Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available for sale.

Wayside Community Church will hold a Music on the Lawn event at 6 p.m. with the Patrick County High School Praise & Worship Group being the special guests. Following the singing there will be a hotdog roast, “fixins,” bonfire, s’mores, and cornhole. In case of rain, the service will be moved to the sanctuary and fellowship hall.

The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a food distribution day at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. There will be a morning distribution in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and an evening distribution in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.
The Ararat Ruritan Club will host a barn quilt painting class which will be led by Lisa Martin from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The cost is $30 and includes all supplies needed to complete the barn quilt. The club building is located at 4711 Ararat Highway in Ararat, VA.
