P&HCC Local Board meeting will be held at 12:30 pm at the MET, located at 65 Motorsports Drive, Martinsville.
Wednesday, Nov. 23
The Patrick County Economic Development Authority (EDA) will meet at 7 p.m. in the second-floor board room of the Patrick County Administration Building.

Thursday, Nov. 3
The Russell Creek Community Crime Watch meeting will be at the New Hope United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Commonwealth’s Attorney Dayna Bobbitt.
Friday, Nov. 4
The Woolwine UMC food truck will be at the Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department from 3-5 p.m.
The Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group, LLC, will hold a Bingo at the John D. Hooker Building at Rotary Field in Stuart. Doors open at 6 p.m., and games start at 7 p.m. Overall tickets cost $25. Door prizes of all types. Food, provided by New Beginnings Youth, includes hotdogs, French fries, drinks, and desserts. All proceeds are for the Alzheimer’s clients and caregivers in a 60-mile radius of Stuart.
Saturday, Nov. 5
Big indoor yard sale at Patrick Pentecostal Holiness Church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hotdogs, chili beans, corn bread, and baked goods will be for sale. The event is a fundraiser for the Illumination Teen Ministry at Patrick County High School (PCHS).
New Hope Church of the Brethren, 2007 New Hope Road, Elamsville, will hold a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for Trinity Christian School from 6:30-10 a.m. Pancakes, sausage, fried bologna, and fried apples for eat in or take out will be available for $6 a plate.

The Buffalo Ridge Community Crime Watch meeting will be at Sycamore Baptist Church at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Teresa Fontaine with the Southern Area Agency on Aging.
Saturday, Nov. 12
A benefit singing to help Kentucky flood victims will be held at Sycamore Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. A love offering will be taken.
Fall Supper and Sale at Ross Harbour Church. The meal will be from 4-6:30 p.m. and the sale starts at 7 p.m. A chicken or ham plate is $10 per plate. For take-out meals, call (276) 903-1661.

The Patrick County Historical Society & Museum’s annual general membership meeting will be held at the library/museum building starting at 2 p.m. Ann McConnell, Regent of the Col. Abram Penn Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will speak on Abram Penn.

The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a food distribution day at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. There will be a morning distribution in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and an evening distribution in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.

The Carroll County Genealogy Club will hold its regular monthly meeting at 4 p.m. on the left side of the Historic Old Courthouse on Main Street in Hillsville.

The Ararat Ruritan Club hosts virtual raffles on its Facebook page on the first of each month. Various items are raffled off at $10 or $20 per limited chance. There are 30-35 chances on each raffle. The Stuart Elementary School Running Club will hit the pavements along the sidewalks in town on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
The Stuart United Methodist Church will offer The Circle of Hands from 1:30-3:30 p.m. the first and third Sunday of every month. If it is a holiday weekend, the meeting will be canceled. Everyone is invited to attend the new group, which offers an opportunity to fellowship, and bring a project to work on or learn a new craft.
