To celebrate Mother's Day, children's librarian Sam Edmundson read children's books, "You be Mommy," by Karla Clark and "Mother Bruce," by Ryan H Higgins to the children at Storytime.
The children were then treated to a Scavenger Hunt in the garden designed by Jess Hines. Check the Box at the Books Blooms and Bugs Garden for activities and gardening information.
Master Gardeners Jess Hines, Norma Bozenmayer and Revonda Gilbert led a program decorating flower pots and planting them with beautiful portulaca for a special gift for moms.
The completed colored scavenger hunt can be placed in library seed donation box to be entered in a drawing for a gardening prize.
