Ms. Amy Jo Hylton Gregson, age 58 of Vesta, Virginia passed away at her home on Thursday, July 10, 2025.  She was born in Patrick County on June 13, 1967, to the late Robert Paul Hylton and Lena Lou Boyd Hylton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her love and life partner, David Wayne Handy; one sister, Lynda Faye Hylton; and two brothers, Ernest Lee Hylton and Michael Wayne Hylton. Amy enjoyed driving fast, muscle cars, and motorcycles. She loved music and dancing and wasn’t afraid to be the first one on the dance floor. She cherished her family deeply and took joy in every moment spent with David and the children. Amy will be remembered as a truly gentle, kind, and peace-loving soul, a genuine flower child.

Left to cherish the special memories of Ms. Gregson are one son, Clay Gregson (Angel) of Ararat, Virginia; six bonus children, Kevin Handy (Michelle) of Stuart, Trey Handy (Bambie) of Martinsville, Amber Huffman (Lucas Terry) of Patrick Springs, Sara Tatum of Dinwiddie, Brandie Nicole Handy of Winchester, Tia Strempski of South Hill; 19 grandchildren; one brother, Gary Hylton of Stuart; and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.

The family of Ms. Amy Hylton Gregson would like to thank Aunt Katherine (Kat) Boyd for all her love and care.
