PCHS Track Team Hosts Meet

The Patrick County Track Meet was held on Wednesday, March 25. The Cougars hosted 6 teams in the invitational meet.

The girls team finished 2nd overall, and the boys team finished 3rd overall.

The Girls 4x800m team, consisting of Cameron Rakes, Analeigh Jones, Rain Davis, and Emma Purdy, finished 1st. Ellianna Montgomery and Noah Hiatt finished 1st in the 1600. Sarah Hagwood finished first in the 400-meter dash. Aeden Frazier finished 3rd in the 400-meter dash. Jones and Hunter Martin each won the 800-meter run. Greely Terry finished 2nd in the 800. In the 3200-meter run, Rakes finished 1st, Davis finished 2nd, and Purdy finished 3rd. Montgomery, Kody Townsend, Hagwood, and Gracen Conner finished 1st in the Girls 4x400m. The Boys 4x400m Team, consisting of Eli Hairston, Hiatt, Terry, and Hunter Martin, finished 1st as well. Aaliyah Spencer and Tripp Thompson each finished 2nd in the Discus Throw.
