Spring was celebrated at the library Storytime with a large group of young observers and gardeners. Children’s librarian Miss Lisa read the books, “Spring Parade” by Camelia Kay, “The Thing About Spring,” by Daniel Kirk and “Bloom,” by Deborah Diesen followed by a program presented by Southwest Piedmont Master Naturalist Norma Bozenmayer on how insects need flowers and flowers need insects.
The children made observations of flower parts and their functions. The young gardeners then planted some bee balm by the library sign for the bees. butterflies, insects and people passing by to enjoy.
Visit or call the library for information on future library programs.
