Boys Tennis Falls to Floyd
The PCHS Boys Tennis Team took on the Floyd, March 26, losing 1-9 to the Buffaloes. In singles, A. Biviano defeated Johnathan Harbour (PC) 8-2, David Lawson (PC) defeated F. Radford 8-5, N. Metz defeated David Clark (PC) 8-2, R. Disharan defeated Jaxon Ayers (PC) 8-2, B. Harris defeated Aiden Slate (PC) 8-2, and J. Indram defeated Draysin Maselli (PC) 8-2. In doubles Biviano/Disheron defeated Harbour/Ayers (PC) 8-4, Radford/Metz defeated Lawson/Clark (PC) 8-2, and Har ris/R. Quesenberry defeated Slate/Maselli (PC) 8-5.
JV Girls Soccer Gets Win Over Carroll
The PCHS Girls JV Soccer Team hosted Carroll County, Wednesday, April 4/1 getting a 5-0 win over the Lady Cavaliers. Freshman Molly Cassell had 2 goals and 1 assist. Freshman Kinsleigh Harris had 2 goals and 1 assist. Sub freshman Kendra Vipperman had 1 goal. Sophomore Anay Huerta-Dominguez had 9 saves in the goal.
PC Varsity Softball Defeats Carroll
The Patrick County Lady Cougar Varsity Softball Team defeated Carroll County 13-6 on Thursday, April 2. Hayden Lawless started in the circle, going 3.2 innings. Jenna Woods finished with 3.1 innings for the win. The Cougars had 15 hits on the night. Journey Moore, Chloe Hubbard, and Lauren Hazelwood each had 3 hits with Hazelwood driving in 4 runs. Aubreigh Large had a double in the win.
JV Baseball Suffers First Loss
The Patrick County JV Baseball Team suffered its first loss of the season, Thursday, April 2, losing 11-1 to Carroll County. The Cavaliers were hot at the plate, proving to be too much for the Cougars. Caleb Vaughn started for Patrick County, going 1 inning, allowing no runs. Ayden Garcia pitched 2 innings with 5 runs allowed. Charlie Tabor went 1 inning, allowing 4 runs. Tucker Collins threw 1 inning and allowed 2 runs. Jaxon Handy had 1 hit, 1 run, and 1 RBI. Vaughn and Ian Baker added a hit as well.
The Cougars are 6-1 on the season.
