Sarah Wyatt – Overall Winner for the 2026 4-H Share the Fun County Contest

The Patrick County 4 H Share the Fun Talent Show was held on Friday, March 6, at Patrick County High School in Stuart, Virginia. Sarah Wyatt was named the Overall Winner of the 2026 Patrick County 4 H Share the Fun Contest and also received a blue ribbon for her performance of “Mary Did You Know.” She will advance to the Area Share the Fun Contest, which will be held on Saturday, May 2, in Floyd, Virginia, where she will compete in the vocal category.

Also competing in the vocal category, Amelia Kernodle of Meadows of Dan Elementary School received a red ribbon for her performance of “Wildflower” by Billie Eilish. Kara Hiatt and Landree Simmons of Blue Ridge Elementary School also received red ribbons for their vocal performance of “Firework” by Katy Perry.

In the dance category, Paige Ragsdale of Stuart Elementary School received a blue ribbon for her dance performance to “People Watching” by Conan Gray. Paige was selected to advance to the Area Contest, where she will compete in the dance category. Abigail Disharoon of Hardin Reynolds Memorial School also earned a blue ribbon in the dance category for her performance to “Monster High Fright Song.”

In the drama category, Etta Owens of Hardin Reynolds Memorial School received a blue ribbon for her performance titled “Are You There God, It’s Me, Margaret.” She was also selected to advance to the Area Contest, where she will compete in the drama category.

In the variety category, Jakob Glenn and Patrick Martin of Stuart Elementary School received a blue ribbon for their performance, “Dancing Santas.” The duo will advance to the Area Contest and compete in the variety category. Also earning blue ribbons in the variety category were Banner Davis, William Maner, and Chet Perdue for their performance, “The Great Ostrich Escape.” Gabriel Helms received a blue ribbon for his comedy skit, “Gabe’s Variety Show,” and Maewyn McCraw earned a blue ribbon for her ventriloquist performance.

We appreciate our judges for their time and dedication to the talent contest. The Mistresses of Ceremonies for the event were Presley Combs and Rain Davis. This show would not have been possible without the hard work of the elementary school talent show managers, sound engineers, judges, and emcees. We are truly thankful for the continued support of faculty, staff, and parents at each elementary school. Thank you to Patrick County High School for hosting the 2026 Patrick County 4 H Share the Fun County Contest.
