Two Patrick County High School students, Kamiya Reynolds and Alexis Cox, received awards for their outstanding accomplishments in the Congressional Art Show for the 9th District of VA.
Kamiya Reynolds earned 2nd Place with her patriotic piece, “United We Stand,” a powerful work celebrating unity and American spirit.
Alexis Cox received 3rd Place for her artwork “Ancestry Origins,” a beautiful rendition inspired by The Reynolds Homestead and its rich history.
These achievements reflect the creativity, talent, and dedication.
U.S. Rep. Morgan Griffith visited the school to award the students and congratulate them and their art teacher, Grace Helms. Their artwork will hang in the Griffith’s local office in Christiansburg for six months and rotate to the Abington office for another six months.
