Ada “Tom” Pack Martin, age 75, of Lawsonville, N.C., died Friday, January 6, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

She was born in Patrick County on May 23, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Harry Pack and Mary Holt Pack. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Carson Wayne Haden; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Martin; two sisters, Lou Pruitt, Clara Bell Inman; and four brothers, Junior, John, Bill, and Arthur Pack. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Billy Martin of the home; one daughter, Melinda Bowman of Lawsonville; one son, Billy “B.J.” Martin of Lawsonville; a special son, Brantley Goins of Lawsonville; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mae Pack, Barbara Jean Holt, Susie Pack, Joann Holt, all of Lawsonville; two brothers, Louis and Irvin Pack, both of Lawsonville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Aaron’s Corner Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight (Wednesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
