Alexis East King, age 64, of Patrick Springs, Virginia, passed away on December 2, 2024. She was born in Patrick County, Virginia on January 10, 1960, to Lavergne T. Collins and the late John W. East. She was preceded in death by her beloved stepfather, Jesse Collins; her maternal grandparents, Alex and Elva Thomas; and her paternal grandparents, John and Gladys East.

Left to cherish the memory of Alexis are her loyal companion, Gentry; one brother, Rodney W. East (Tammy); one aunt and uncle, Joanne Shirley and Vann Thomas; cousins, Rebecca King (Derik) and their children, Savannah & Logan (Tori); Laura Buchanan and her children Breanne, Tyler, and Emma; Lynne Hylton and her children Amanda and Christina; step-siblings, Darrell Collins (Jessica) and their children; Ginger Hutter (Mark) and their children; her foster siblings, Tim Shoup and Angie East.

Her spirit brought happiness and laughter to all around her. She was best known for her love of animals and her dedication to her family. She was always looking to help someone in need and would stand up for anyone who needed it. Her caring heart drove her to give every chance she could. She was an avid reader and spent her time taking care of her mother whom she loved dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held for Alexis on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
