Arlis Wade Craig, 73 of Martinsville, VA died on Thursday February 4, 2021 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. He was born in Patrick County to the late Mary Sawyers Craig and Rufus Green Craig. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Craig, David Craig and one sister Mary Frances Craig.

He attended Grace Baptist Church in Ridgeway and in his own way he was a gentle giant. Back in the day, he was a C.B. operator and was an avid fan of Nascar races. He carried his camera everywhere he went and loved to talk to anyone who would talk to him.

Surviving are four sisters, Marie Goard of Stuart, Dorothy Holt of Martinsville, Iva Beavers (Joe) of Ridgeway and Sue Godbee of Patrick Springs.

A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Hubbard Family Cemetery with Dr Dennis Wingate. Burial will be at Hubbard Family Cemetery.

Friends can view and sign the register book from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday February 6, 2021 at Norris Funeral Chapel in Stuart.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all restrictions mandated by the guideline set forth by the state must be followed.

Flowers will be appreciated or donations to donors choice.
