Arzelle Rogers Anthony, 76, of Ridgeway, VA was born in Stuart, VA passed away on January 6, 2024, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Murray Anthony.

Survived by one son, Byron Anthony (Jami) of Hayes, VA, two brothers, Ricky Rogers (Penny) of Stuart, VA, Stan Rogers of Ridgeway, VA, the extended Anthony family and Sarah Amos, caregiver, friend and the daughter Arzelle never had.

She worked as a homemaker for her loving family and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeway, VA. Throughout her life, she was a member of many organizations and groups including the Ridgeway Jaycettes and the Wednesday Club. She enjoyed square dancing and riding the motorcycle with Murray. They enjoyed traveling to many different places over the years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and canning. Anyone who knew her, knew how much she loved to cook. She was an avid supporter of the local performing arts group in Martinsville, Henry County, and Patrick County. Her positive, bubbly personality will be missed by everyone she came in contact with.

A funeral will be held at Critz Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11:00 am with Reverend Randy Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Critz Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to Ridgeway District Volunteer Fire Dept RR 641 Ridgeway, VA 24148.
