Ballot set in Nov. election

The November ballot in Patrick County is set, following the June 11 deadline to file.

Registrar Susan Taylor said Tuesday the following names/seats will be on the Nov. 5 ballot:

Dr. Clyde DeLoatch is challenging incumbent Karl Weiss for the Blue Ridge District seat on the Patrick County Board of Supervisors.

Incumbent Ronnie Terry and Shannon Harrell will vie for the Blue Ridge District post on the Patrick County School Board.

Incumbent Lock Boyce will take on C. Clayton Kendrick Jr. in the race for the Mayo River District seat on the Patrick County Board of Supervisors.

Amy Walker is running unopposed in her bid to represent the district on the Patrick County School Board.

Denise Litten Stirewalt and Keith Puckett will vie for the Peters Creek District supervisor post.

Ryan Lawson is unopposed in his bid for the same post on the school board.

Constitutional officers that include Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith; Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Vipperman; Commissioner of the Revenue Janet Rorrer and Treasurer Sandra Stone are unopposed in their reelection bids.

Three are running for Soil and Water Conservation directors: E. Wayne Clark, Richard E. Kreh, Sr., and Joseph A. Sparks.
