Barbara Ann Sturgill, 75, of Patrick Springs, VA, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy, NC. She was born on February 24, 1945 in Patrick County, VA to the late Theresa Shelton Spencer Craig and James Daniel Spencer. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by two brothers; James Lawrence Spencer and Elmer Norman Spencer.
She was a member of Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, worked at Bassett Furniture for many years in the office until her retirement.She enjoyed going to yard sales and never met a stranger.
Surviving are two sisters; Arlene S. Trent (Leonard) of Patrick Springs, VA, Nadine S. Thomas of Martinsville, VA sister-in-law; Margaret Spencer of Patrick Springs, VA, a long time friend; Loretta Whitlow and several nieces and nephews
The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr Marion Poythress and Dr David Sparks officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church
and other times at the home of Leonard and Arlene Trent.
