Mrs. Barbara Ann Bird, age 78 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at her home. She was born in the Bronx, NY on January 15, 1944, to the late Salvatore Grieco and Constance DiGennaro Grieco. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Belcher; a brother, Robert Grieco; and a son-in-law, Brett Nichols. Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Stuart where she served in numerous capacities including a Seminary Teacher for 11 years, Relief Society President, and the Young Women’s President. She loved reading and was a great Italian cook. She loved spending time with her family and especially cooking for them.

Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Jackson Ray Bird of the home; one daughter, Connie Nichols of Meridian, ID; five sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Bobbi Jo Bird of Stuart, Bobby and Audrey Bird of High Point, NC, Kenny and Debbie Bird of Meadows of Dan, Matt and Tonya Bird of King, NC, Teddy and Stacie Bird of Fayetteville, NC; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Alfred Turner officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
