Riley Ginger with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving western Virginia, will present a series of free talks at the Patrick County Library over the next few months.

BBB Programs start at 3:30 pm

On Aug. 25, Ginger will present BBB Employment Scams and Job Search beginning at 3:30 p.m. The library is located at 116 W Blue Ridge St., Stuart.

When searching for a job, the last thing you want to happen is getting scammed by an employment opportunity. Job search sites make it easier now more than ever for scammers to post fake job listings. BBB Serving Western VA is partnering with the Patrick County Library to bring you vital information you need to know, such as:

How to know if a job offer is a scam.

What makes you more at risk of an employment scam.

Resources for job searching.

Other programs scheduled to be held through December are:

Sept. 13 – BBB Scams Against Older Adults

Sept. 27 – BBB Puppy Scams

Nov. 8   – BBB Phishing Scams

Nov. 15 – BBB Give Wisely (Charities)

Dec. 6 – BBB ID Theft

Dec. 13 – BBB Romance Scams

All begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Patrick County Library.
