The 36th Annual Hot Fun in the Summertime Beach Music Festival will be held at Wayside Park in Stuart, on June 8 through 10, according to a release from the Rotary Club of Stuart, which has assumed production of event.

The festival “is the oldest running beach festival in the east,” according to a release from the club.

“It’s three days in the sun, friends, and beach music, sponsored in part by Virginia is for Music Lovers and Patrick County Tourism,” the release stated, and added the star-studded line-up includes the Embers, featuring Craig Woolard; Jim Quick and Coastline, Blackwater Rhythm & Blues Band, U.B.U. Band, Silk Groove, and the Foddrells.

Held at Wayside Park, the venue offers on-site camping. Reservations are recommended.

Festival goers may bring personal sized coolers and chairs. Identification is required.

Glass containers and/or pets are not allowed.

Food and beverages are available at the fest, as are event T-shirts and a spate of goodies from other vendors.

Volunteers are needed to work shifts on the Green Team, cooler check, and for parking. If  interested, email beachmusicinfo@gmail.com

Tickets available online at www.beachfestival.com and soon will be at select retail locations.

For information about camping, call (276) 692-4149.
