Betty Lou Deatherage, age 90 of Lawsonville, NC, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  She was born on December 10, 1931, in Surry County, NC to the late Albert Deatherage and Annie Martin Deatherage.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John William Deatherage; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Deatherage; and a nephew, Eddie Deatherage.  Betty enjoyed attending Abiding Grace Pentecostal Holiness Church when her health permitted and had retired from United Elastic with over 35 years of service.

Surviving is a brother, Bill Deatherage of Lawsonville, NC; one niece, Ann Ferrelli (Joe); one nephew, Lee Deatherage (Debbie); one great niece, Amber Deatherage (Josh); one great nephew, Joseph Ferrelli (Carlen); and her cherished cousins, Faith Campbell (Robbi), Megan Bowman, Nick Bowman (Tiffany), Austin Bowman, and Brandi Woods.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastors Jamie Stokes and J.R. Vipperman officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Delano Biggs, 8214 NC 89 Hwy W., Westfield, NC 27053.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.  Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.
