Beverly Lynn Curry, age 55, of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born on August 19, 1960 in Galax and was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Daniel Spangler, and a brother, Kenneth “Wayne” Spangler.
She faithfully attended Meadow United Methodist Church and loved being a Nana to her grandbaby, Tessa. She also loved her dogs, Sassy and Pebbles.
Surviving are her husband, Dale Curry of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Thaddeus and Tyger Curry of Stuart; a granddaughter, Tessa Paige Curry; her mother and stepfather, Myrna Cox Spangler Austin and James Austin of Stuart; a brother, Joseph Spangler of Stuart; two stepbrothers, Michael Austin of Kingport, Tenn., and James Austin Jr.; nieces and nephews, Ashley Spangler and husband Dean, Jordan Spangler, Kirsten Spangler, Chelsea Spangler, Nathaniel Curry and Kim Steele; step-nieces and nephews, Kayleigh Dean, Taylor Spangler and Korben Dean.
A memorial service was held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Meadow United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Collins officiating. Burial was private.
Memorials may be made to the Ravanel Oncology, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
