Mr. Billy Jack Gray, age 91 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Patrick County on January 30, 1932, to the late Brockley Moore Gray and Fannie Heath Gray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Gray; and three sisters, Louise Rogers, Elva Bary, and Thelma Corns. Billy was a member of Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church. He was a member of the High Standard Hunting Club in Amelia. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His most favorite thing was to watch his grandsons, the lights of his life, play sports.
Surviving is his wife, Lilla Mae Sisk Gray; one daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Ricky Vernon of Stuart; two grandsons, Austin Vernon and girlfriend, Amber Quesinberry, Colby Vernon and wife, Samantha; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating.
