The Stuart Blood Drive is scheduled for Tuesday, September 6 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the John D. Hooker Building at Rotary Field.
We welcome all donors, those who will give for the first time and dedicated donors who have given before, with or without appointments.
The American Red Cross wants to remind you that you can save up to 15 minutes at your upcoming appointment with RapidPass.
RapidPass allows you to complete your pre-reading and health history questions from your own computer. It just takes four simple steps.
1. Visit redcrossblood.org/RapidPass*
2. Read the pre-donation information
3. Answer the health history questions
4. Print your pass and/or email it to your mobile device.
I am so thankful that our local radio station, WHEO, is broadcasting. The radio’s broadcasts were instrumental in the blood drive smashing last month’s goal. Thanks to all the radio team for the service that you provide to our community. And thanks to our local newspaper, The Enterprise, for publishing the blood drive notices and results each and every month.
For a successful and pleasant experience, the Red Cross suggests to maintain a healthy iron level in your diet, get a good night’s sleep, and drink an extra 16 ounces of water before donating.
The September blood drive is sponsored by a long-time friend of the American Red Cross, Norris Funeral Home located in Patrick Springs.
If you are interested in becoming a blood drive volunteer, please stop by Rotary Field during the drive to see how rewarding it is. Giving back to your community by volunteering is unselfish and can be a very rewarding experience.
Giving blood could be one of the most satisfying and rewarding acts of your life.
See you at the blood drive, Tuesday, September 6.
Gene Stirewalt,
Coordinator
