The May blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the John D. Hooker Building at Rotary Field.

Keith Gunter of Roger’s Real Estate & Auction will be sponsoring this month’s blood drive.

All donors who give blood at the May blood drive will receive a $5 Amazon gift card via email.

If you are interested in becoming a Blood Drive Volunteer, please stop by Rotary Field during the blood drive or call 694-0272. Giving back to your community by volunteering can be a very rewarding experience.

It is with a heavy heart that I will be relinquishing my responsibilities as blood drive coordinator effective June 12. My last blood drive will be the June drive.  It is time for me to “pass the torch” to the next generation. I expect to volunteer on occasion so I won’t be going far.

If you are interested in serving your community as blood drive coordinator, please call me or stop by this month’s blood drive. I would be happy to talk with you.

The American Red Cross could not help as many people as they do without your generous blood donations.

The need is constant. The gratification is instant.

Giving blood is one of the most satisfying and rewarding acts in your lifetime.

Be one of the three percent of the population who donate blood.

Help us make the May blood drive a big success!

Gene Stirewalt, Coordinator
